Kokan NGO India works to uplift the most vulnerable communities, and when winter arrives, our responsibility deepens. Thousands sleep on pavements without warmth, children curl up on cold ground, and elders tremble through the night. Our blanket distribution initiative began because no human being deserves to fight the winter cold alone.
Winter is a challenging season for many, especially for street children and those living in extreme poverty. Without adequate clothing or shelter, they face life-threatening conditions, battling against the cold. The harsh temperatures lead to serious illnesses and infections, and tragically, many lives are lost each year.
Kokan NGO aims to make a difference by distributing blankets to vulnerable populations across Mumbai, Thane, and other parts of Maharashtra. Since 2022, we have successfully distributed 1500 blankets, directly benefiting the homeless. Through this initiative, we not only provide warmth but also extend a message of love, hope, and support to those in need.
Every blanket represents more than warmth; it symbolizes dignity and compassion. Our ongoing efforts are reducing illnesses and safeguarding lives against the bitter cold.
